Janie M. Harden Fritz is an associate
professor and the director of undergraduate education in the Department of
Communication & Rhetorical Studies at Duquesne University . She received her Ph.D. in
Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MA from the
University of
Georgia . She teaches and
conducts research on communication in work relationships, ethics, and
professional civility. She is currently the first-vice-president of the Eastern
Communication Association. In 2006, she coedited Problematic Relationships in the
Workplace for Peter Lang. In 2009 she coauthored Communication Ethics Literacy: Dialogue and
Difference with Ron Arnett and LeeAnne Bell for Sage Publications. Let’s
