Dr. Pamela Lutgen-Sandvik is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of New Mexico. She teaches and researchers in the area of organizational communication. Her current research includes the issues of workplace bullying and non-sexual harassment and positive emotions in the workplace. In 2008 she was awarded the National Communication Association’s Applied Communication Division’s Outstanding Scholarly Article Award for her article “Take this job and … : Quitting and other forms of resistance to workplace bullying” published in Communication Monographs. In 2005 Dr. Lutgen-Sandvik was an expert witness for a workplace bullying case in Ohio. She recently co-edited Destructive Organizational Communication: Processes, Consequences, & Constructive Ways of Organizing with Beverly Davenport Sypher for Routledge.
